Jesse has tried his hand at many different activities some of them through school, cubs and scouts, Wheelchair Sports SA and other clubs and associations.
He plays the cello and sings in his school choir. He has been rock climbing, kayaking, water skiing, surfing, played able-bodied and wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, and competed in his school Pedal Prix team. He loves to play football and soccer with his friends at school. Jesse is currently having tennis lessons at his local tennis club and is a member of Norwood Swimming Club. He has represented his club, school and state in swimming at both able-bodied and SWD (Swimmers with a Disability) events. He has competed at 4 national events and won numerous gold, silver and bronze medals in his age group. Jesse has recently been introduced to golf through the South Australian amputee golf clinics and enjoys it because “it is different to the other sports I am involved in and not as physically demanding, even though it still involves lots of concentration and focus”.
