Family: Husband, Brad and Kash, a Majestic Golden Retriever
Lives: Pennsylvania, USA.
Amputation: Left Arm Above Elbow
Originally from Italy, Camilla began playing golf at the age of 23 after she had been competing in several sports. On her way to becoming a professional, she lost her left arm. Facing this new challenge, she asked the prosthetic company, INAIL and University Politecnico di Milano for help. They built her a titanium golf arm which enabled her to start competing again after long hard self training.
Following years of tournaments and more than 200 wins as an amateur, Camilla is now a certified instructor. As well as teaching, she has written for and appeared in golf publications across Europe and the U.S.
Camilla splits her time between Pennsylvania and Italy sharing her unique knowledge of the game with students of different cultures and abilities.
“I am considered a different teacher for a different approach to the game of golf. My 25 years of experience has given me unconventional wisdom of this sport since I played as two different people. When I lost my limb, I started all over again because I could not conceive my life without golfing. Surprisingly, I became a better golfer, and, later on, a professional teacher.”
